Thanks a lot for your congratulations, it's difficult for me to tell it in english but I really appreciate. For this painting I was inspired by a poem and the world of Tolkien.

I went to look at your job and : Waoo ! how do you do that ? I often try to get in painting this kind of "pictures" but I never success.

Bravo et merci

No problem; I'm just saying what I see :D. Don't worry about your English- it's much better than my French! I did take lessons, but haven't really spoken it in about 10 years now . I love Tolkien's works and this does them justice, I feel :D

Thank you :D. I work on abstracts more than realistic things, mostly, and use two programs the most: Apophysis and Ultra Fractal. Apophysis is free, and worth playing around with. You can find out about it from the Apophysis group on this site, if you want: :iconapophysis:. It can take some time to get the hang of, but is fun and can make some nice things :D

Thank for your explanations about the way you create so beautiful pictures. For me, I like too much my oil colours and my paintbrushes ! But really I would like to be able to paint pictures like the one I put in favorits. Because they really "tell me something".
(It's so difficult to speak about feelings in another language !)

Mabe one day I'll try to paint one of your pictures, are you OK ?

NB : Emoticons doesn't want to work with me !!!
I think it'll take a long time before I can use deviantArt correctly ...
:iconsomniloquy:
I love the look of oil paints but I can't draw or paint using traditional media :(. I work with fractals because I find that the easiest way to get something that looks OK.

I'd love it if you were to paint one of my images! Please let me know if you have a go at it :D.

You seem to be using it well enough right now; you have some of your work on here and we're talking about it :D.

I feel stupid, but I don't really understand
"you have some of your work on here and we're talking about it "
sorry
:iconsomniloquy:
Sorry. I mean that you are displaying your paintings here, and I'm talking to you about them, which is what the site is for :)

Thank you very much. This painting is really special for me cause it's the first I made according to a poem of a poet who is a friend now. It's also the first for which I was also inspired by Tolkien.
Happy you like it.
